How to get the best night sleep. The easy healthy way.

Ahh bedtime! As I was getting into my normal evening routine tonight I thought I'd share some of my favorite bedtime lifestyle essentials I've cultivated over the years to get restful, peaceful, deep sleep to help reset my mind, body and spirit.

Our sleep quality impacts every area of our lives and hormones from our mood, energy, productivity, performance, food cravings, our fat burning / storing hormones, and strength. Sleep is literally our hormonal reset button and slows the aging process down and it is the ultimate anti-ager. So here's what I have found that works best for me and feel free to try and see how some of these work for you but these combos knock me right out and have me sleeping for a deep 7-9 hours per night.

1) Take a warm shower
2) Cup of Yogi Bedtime Tea and Yogi stress relief tea combined. I also love peppermint/ chamomile tea which you see here in the photo
3) Essential oils infuser with a blend of Lavender and lemon (3-4 drops of each) or just peppermint oil
4) Writing down 5-10 things I'm grateful for in a Gratitude journal at the end of the day / Prayer / Slow deep breathing
5) Reading a good book or listening to an audiobook
